Happy Monday! I’m coming to you from Northern VA this week. This is my last week of fall travel, you guys! As much as I love travel season, I’m always happy when it comes to a close, too. It’s nice being back into a normal routine that includes things like hugs and vegetables.
Despite the short weekend, I still made the most of it. I’m feeling a lot better from the bronchitis now that I have antibiotics, so it felt good to get off the couch!
After running errands on Saturday, I met up with my friend Tara and we walked along the beach and parkway. It was a gorgeous day out and we got in a good hour of walking and taking in the pretty views.
Once Riley got home from work, I got dressed and ready to go out for date night.
We went to Fat Tuna for dinner and enjoyed some oysters, sushi, and some pretty amazing hush puppies.
Some of our friends showed up and we spent the rest of the evening hanging out with them. We took the party to our favorite bar to see a band play, then headed home way past our bedtime (well, my bedtime anyway).
Sunday morning started off with sleeping in and enjoying a classic Chef Riley brunch feast. He made eggs, bacon, home fries, and pumpkin waffles.
Then it was time to hit the road. I got in town last night for a college fair and I’ll be visiting high schools all week. Hopefully things going well!
Weekly Workout Plan
Now that I’m feeling better, I’m determined to get back into the regular swing of things with my workouts. I don’t know about you, but when I’m traveling I always feel much better when I squeeze in a quick workout. It’s probably because I spend so much time in the car. Here’s what I’ve got on my agenda for this week:
- Monday- 3 mile run outside
- Tuesday- 30 minute no equipment workout (see below)
- Wednesday- Orange Theory Fitness Class
- Thursday- Rest
- Friday- 35 minute HIIT treadmill workout
- Saturday- Candlelight hot yoga class
- Barre or rest
30 Minute No Equipment Workout
I put together a new hotel workout to share with you guys today! As much as I love hotel gyms, they can be so hit or miss. I like having a workout I can grab that doesn’t require a gym or any equipment. This one covers cardio, legs, arms, and core in just a quick 10 minutes. You can repeat the circuit as many times as you like, depending on how much time you have. Enjoy!
What I love about this one is that you don’t need anything but some floor space, which will come in handy in a hotel room. You can also take this one outside if you want to get some fresh air at the same time.
If you’re looking for other similar workouts, you can check out my favorites on the circuit workout page!
Have a great Monday!
