Hey everyone! Sorry I missed you yesterday. I had big plans to participate in WIAW, but I ran into a snag when I realized two things: I had no food pictures, and my Tuesday night dinner consisted of wine. Yep, just wine. Shame me if you want, but do it silently. It’s been a long week.
Instead, we’ll play the “what I ate” game today! Here’s what I was eating yesterday:
Scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Spicy shrimp roll with brown rice for lunch.
What Riley called a “Santa Fe rice bowl” for dinner.
With a small salad on the side.
Work has been filled with the Christmas spirit this week. On Monday, we took over the historic Jefferson Hotel in Richmond for an admission event.
The hotel is stunning and it’s even better at Christmas. Despite having a packed day, I managed to check out most of the decorations. We held a reception for about 500 people in the evening, which went really well and they had us in a gorgeous ballroom.
And in a Christmas miracle, I managed to resist all of this:
I’m holding out for the homemade stuff!
After a crazy busy day Monday, I completely switched gears back in the office and have been buried in application files all week long. We’ve got just over a week left until we close for the holidays, so it’ll be suuuper busy leading up to it. I’ve had my Pandora Christmas station on in my office and stole this little tree to put on my desk.
I didn’t STEAL it, exactly. I just pointed out to our receptionist that she had two of them in our Welcome area and she offered one up to me, which I promptly snatched and delivered to my desk. If I’m going to be buried in applications, I want something festive to look at!
Well, that about gets us up to speed. I’m hoping to get in a good workout today before another long day of sitting in my office. I’ve slacked the past two days and I’m definitely feeling antsy. I’ll catch you later!
Does your workplace decorate for the holidays?
