Well, winter came back this weekend. I had a feeling it was too good to be true when we spent most of February enjoying spring temperatures. As a result, I went back into hibernation mode this weekend and had almost no motivation.
Things started out good on Friday, though, with some house hunting that was hopefully successful. I don’t know yet, actually, because we’re waiting to hear back from the sellers and the anticipation is killing me. I keep repeating “don’t get attached, don’t get attached” in my head to see if that helps, but so far it hasn’t. Before the house tours started, Riley and I had a nice and quick lunch by the beach in Yorktown.
I hadn’t been to Yorktown beach in a while and it reminded me that I need to make it over there more this summer!
Saturday involved a lot of Hulu watching, but I managed to clean the house and make a trip to Trader Joe’s while I was at it.
Sunday was another lazy day for me. I took a super long nap after Riley left for work and by the time I got up I’d barely cleared 1,000 steps. I rallied and spent some time working out in the living room while watching more Hulu.
My workout consisted of 2,500 steps jogging in place followed by 10 minutes of strength moves. I did two arm sections and two lower body sections (basic moves- bicep curls, rows, shoulder presses, squats, jumping lunges, etc.). I repeated this until I hit my 10,000 steps for the day. It took about an hour, but I was watching tv the whole time so it went by pretty quickly.
Other than that, I basically had the same idea as Coco: lounge in front of the fire and enjoy the down time.
She kills me with those little feet stuck up in the air.
Weekly Workout Plan
This week promises to be a long one, so I think a little planning is in order to keep me on track. Here’s what I’m hoping to do this week:
- Monday- Rest (daylight savings got me good. I plan on being in bed by 8….)
- Tuesday- Barre class
- Wednesday- 45 minute run
- Thursday- HIIT run and ab work
- Friday- Hot yoga
- Saturday- Rest
- Sunday- Barre
As with all my workout plans, this is a tentative agenda. I like to go with what my body is craving. Sometimes that’s yoga, but sometimes that’s a good run, so I don’t like to force it.
Have a great Monday!
