Heeey, I’m back home! Riley and I got in from Florida yesterday and I have to say, as much as the difference in weather is depressing me, it felt great to cuddle all my fur babies. We had a couple of awesome pet-sitters while we were gone and we came home to a freshly bathed dog, an empty dishwasher, a clean litter box, and empty trash cans. Felt great to arrive at home with nothing pressing to get done!
I have a bazillion pictures I need to comb through, but expect some recaps to come in the very near future. What I can tell you is that I spent a ton of time laid out on a towel in the sand in front of gorgeous water.
I’ve got mad
tan freckles going on right now. I also enjoyed some amazing sunsets and drinks with Riley.
And, despite titling our vacation “Operation Key Lime Pie,” I only managed to eat one single slice of it the whole damn week. I think it was good, but how would I really know for sure? I failed to survey an appropriate number of slices to make a fair assessment.
Anyway, now it’s back to reality, at least for a few days. Thank goodness I don’t own a scale anymore, because I’m pretty sure the piles of conch fritters and Coronas did a number on me. I will now endeavor to survive on lettuce and water for the next few days.
Kidding, obviously. I’m sure I will scale back to some healthier habits, however, to try and counteract the effects of extreme laziness and fried foods. I started craving healthy foods like crazy by the end of the week! For now, I’ll be catching up on work in the office, enjoying sleeping in my own bed, and re-adjusting to the sight of clouds and rain. Can’t wait to catch up with you guys and hear about what you’ve been up to!

Do you eat mostly healthy on vacation or do you indulge more than usual? I went all out for dinners, but my breakfasts and lunches were mostly healthy- fruit/yogurt, grilled fish, etc……with some hush puppies thrown in for fun 😉
