A couple months ago, I posted this post about my favorite store, Trader Joe’s. You guys loved it and after coming across even more great items I think it’s time for a second edition!
If you’re not already shopping at Trader Joe’s, you should be. If you don’t have one near you, well….I’m sorry about that. You should consider moving.
Here are ten more items you need to check out!
Organic Sriracha Ranch Dressing
We’re putting this stuff on everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. It’s creamy, pretty spicy, and goes well on salads, as dips, with french fries. I topped my burger with it a couple weeks ago and was in heaven.
Burrata, Prosciutto, & Arugula Flatbread
I picked this up a few weeks ago and nearly polished off the whole thing by myself. If you pair it with a side salad it makes a great easy dinner. Or you can just skip the salad to make room for more of the good stuff.
This wine is fantastic and it’s only $5.99. It’s hard to find good wines for under $10, but TJs has a lot of them. This one is my latest favorite and Riley loves it too.
Tea Tree Tingle Shampoo, Conditioner, and Body Wash
I’ve been using these for a few years now and they’re fantastic. The ingredient list looks like something you’d find on fancy spa products, but they’re only $3.99 each at my store. They’re sulfate-free, cruelty-free, and made with organic botanical ingredients like tea tree oil, peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary oil, nettle oil, thyme oil, birch leaf oil, chamomile, and more. Plus the tingly sensation definitely wakes you up in the morning!
Salted Creamy Cashew Butter
I’ve had other cashew butters, but this one is the best. I prefer my nut butters to be a little salty, so I love that this one is salted. It’s a little soupy, but I like it that way because it’s easier to drizzle onto things.
Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip
I first discovered this at least a few years ago, but can’t remember if I’ve ever mentioned it on the blog before. It’s a healthier version of a classic spinach dip. Made with Greek yogurt as the base, it also has stuff like water chesnuts, carrots, green onions and seasonings to make it even tastier.
Spicy Italian Chicken Sausage
I love all of TJ’s chicken sausages, but I buy the spicy Italian one the most. Mostly because we apparently need to make EVERY meal with something spicy. I’ve used these in breakfast casseroles, pasta dishes, just about everything. In a pinch, they’re great just heated up and sliced on top of a side dish with a veggie on the side for an easy weeknight meal. If you keep them frozen, they’ll defrost in no time.
Italian Truffle Cheese
This find is fairly recent for me, but it’s pretty amazing. A little goes a long way! I love truffle flavors, but you have to use them sparingly. I actually sliced a little and put it on top of that prosciutto flatbread listed above and was in heaven.
Frozen Belgian Waffles
I normally don’t eat sweet breakfasts, but I make an exception when it comes to these waffles. Trader Joe’s has several different frozen waffle options, but none of them are all that special tasting except for these. These are crispy and full of flavor. I even experimented one time by making a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich and used these as the “bread.” Best. idea. ever.
TJ Reserve Sauvignon Blanc
We’ve got to end with another wine! Sauvignon Blanc is one of the only white wines I enjoy and when it’s hot outside it’s mostly what I drink. This wine is only $5.99, but tastes a lot better than some of the other TJ sauvignon blancs. If you look at the TJ wines you’ll find several different kinds. The “reserve” wines are usually my favorites, though the “coastal” can be pretty good too.
Another side note on finding wine at Trader Joe’s- I found a great article over at The Fermented Fruit that lists a whole bunch of great TJ wines. I’ve tried a lot of the wines he lists and agree with many of his “recommended” options.
