Happy Fridaaaay! I’m so pumped for the weekend after what has been a crazy, but productive work week. We’re going to see some houses this afternoon and the snow forecast has disappeared, so I’m in an especially good mood. I’m also catching up with an old college friend for happy hour, so things are looking up for the next few days!
Since it’s too early for happy hour, let’s get right into Friday Favorites, where we celebrate the things that have made us smile this week. Have a great weekend!
I’ve always been a huge fan of Ed Sheeran, so when his new album came out I immediately starting streaming it on Spotify (apparently, everyone else did the same thing). I really like it! I love Shape Of You (obviously), but Happier and Eraser are good songs too.
Healthy Greek Salad Wraps
My friend and blogging buddy of several years now, Arman, made this recipe as a tribute to my birthday last month. Blogging has introduced me to so many awesome people! The fact that someone I’ve never met in person perfectly nailed my love of feta cheese and bread is just so fantastic. I will be making these wraps this weekend. Thanks, Arman!
Secret Deodorant Commercials
Ok, this one is super random and I usually don’t pay attention to commercials, but my close work friend Yoma showed this ad to me and said it embodied our relationship perfectly.
My current TV binge obsession. I don’t know how it took me so long to start watching Elementary, but any mystery show that has phrases like, “It appears a game of cat and mouse is afoot” must be delightful.
I just finished up season 2 on Hulu and love that I still have lots of episodes to go. That’s one of the best things about starting a show several seasons in, isn’t it? No waiting around for the latest episode to come on TV!
I gotta tell you, the man knows what he’s doing. I came home from work on Wednesday and Riley greeted me with a gorgeous looking pitcher of sangria that he’d made.
He then instructed me to get my comfy clothes and put on some music to prepare for our “interactive date night.” The interactive part was shucking oysters for our dinner.
I wish I’d gotten a good “after” picture of them because they turned out awesome! We baked a dozen of them, 1/2 with a crab salad topping, and the other 1/2 with a spinach/bacon topping. It was amazing.
To make things even better, Riley had recorded the latest episode of Fixer Upper to watch together.
And it’s not even my birthday! I am so spoiled. I think I owe him a nice Riley-themed date night soon.
That’s all I’ve got for the time being. Have an awesome weekend and, if you live in the states, don’t forget to change your clocks on Sunday!
