We made it!! Friday is my favorite day. Who’s pumped about the weekend? It should be a wet and rainy one around here, but I’m still always happy to have some down time at home.
This week has been filled with lots of work, but also a lot of fun. I’m linking up with Heather today to share my favorite things from the past week. Enjoy and have a great weekend!
Every year in my office, we have an annual Christmas party and chili cook-off. We eat chili, but also a ton of other delicious dishes that people bring.
We also do a white elephant gift exchange.
This year, we even had a baby photo guessing contest by bringing in our baby photos and trying to see who they belonged to. This was mine, but I don’t think many people guessed it:
The whole party was a blast! We had 8 amazing chili entries and we stuffed our faces, listened to Christmas music, and just enjoyed each others company. Many readers will remember I won the chili cook-off last year, but I was too lazy to enter this year. Next time!
So this show is my latest binge on Netflix. I’m obsessed. I love shows and movies that are about the world ending. Don’t ask me why, but the post-apocalyptic stuff is my favorite!
Alo Goddess Leggings
So I’ve had these leggings on my Pinterest page for a long time now, but I could never bring myself to embrace the $94 price tag. During a Cyber Monday deal, I snagged a pair for $40 and they arrived this week! They are electric blue and black up top and all black on the bottom.
They’re great for yoga and barre classes and they fit me perfectly. I want them in every color now. I plan on wearing them to a barre class this weekend and I’m way more excited than any normal person should be about leggings.
Chef Riley made these awesome rice bowls the other night and I’ve been eating the leftovers nonstop. He made his own homemade taco seasoning, browned some beef, and mixed it all together over rice with peppers, cheese, and sour cream. I crumbled some tortilla chips on mine for crunch. Thank goodness he’s around to feed me!
Trade Joe’s Single Serve Coffee Cups
We have a commercial Keurig machine at work and I like keeping K-cups on hand, but they’re ridiculously expensive. Luckily, I found some at Trader Joe’s for $4.99 for 12, which I thought was a great deal. They’ve basically been keeping me alive all week.
I’m keeping my list short and sweet today since things have basically consisted of eat, sleep, maybe work out, read applications all day, repeat. This weekend I plan on working out, Christmas shopping, and giving my brain a break from the computer screens.
Have a great weekend!
