Is it really Friday?? The days are all running together for me, but I’m still finding time to smile, relax, and enjoy the little things, which is what Friday Favorites is all about! I’m linking up with Katie and Heather today to share what’s making me smile this week.
First I have to give a big Happy Birthday shout-out to my sister, Casey, and my best friend Megan! Megan will be celebrating tonight with friends in D.C. and I’ll be eating dinner with high schoolers. It doesn’t seem fair. BUT it does mean that we’re now 11 days away until I turn the big 3-0!
Ok, now let’s get to the fun stuff from this week!
The new Magic Mike XXL trailer
Megan and I went to go see the first Magic Mike after a 6-hour long bottomless mimosas brunch in D.C where we made friends with drag queens, so the details on the first one are a little fuzzy. We also still don’t know how we ended up in Chinatown.
I see a repeat Saturday in our future this summer!
Lip Synch Battle with Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, and Kevin Hart
Did you guys see this? I love Jimmy Fallon and this recent video is probably one of my all-time favorites. I dream of one day being famous enough to compete in a lip synch battle with Jimmy Fallon.
Cute work outfits
I’ve been pretend shopping on Pinterest, imagining my new professional wardrobe, and I’m loving these (picture links to pin):
Captain the Kitten
It’s been a while since I put up a picture of my newest kitty. I say “kitty,” but he’s actually a giant now. As in, he’s twice the size of Coco. He’s also turning into a huge love-bug and loves to follow me to the bedroom every night like clockwork so we can cuddle. Even though he’s a giant and is about a year old now, he still hasn’t discovered his “big boy” voice and still meows like a baby kitten. It’s adorable.
You guys, I can’t stop! Normally I’ll go months without touching dessert, but this week has been ridiculous. It’s like I had to make up for all the cookies I didn’t eat over Christmas. Our receptionist gifted me this one yesterday and I scarfed it down in 2.6 seconds. The college I work at is known for its desserts and they’re really hard to resist.
Future Vacation Plans
I’ve finally convinced Riley that yes, we CAN afford a vacation this year. I’ll go months without a haircut, forgo shopping for myself, and skip out on expensive dinners so that I can go on a nice trip every year.
No plane tickets have been purchased yet, but we’ve decided to go visit our friend in St. Thomas! I can’t wait to spend a week with this view:
That about wraps up my highlights for the week. Hope you have a fabulous weekend and I’ll catch up with you on Monday!
What are your weekend plans?
Do you have a vacation planned for this year?
