Hey friends, happy Monday! I’m back home from Orlando and officially done with vacations for a while. Not gonna lie, the idea of staying put for a little while sounds pretty good, but it was still fun to get away and enjoy some family time.
I’m still phone-less….womp womp. It was a rough few days without the one little tool I use for EVERYTHING. I found myself asking to hold my mom’s phone….just to hold it. I know, I’m pathetic. After trying just about everything to bring it back to life, I declared it officially passed away, sucked it up, and ordered a replacement through my Verizon insurance. It should arrive today. Luckily, between The Cloud and stealing my family’s pics, I was able to cobble together some photos from the week.
The house we stayed in was great. We all had our own space, a full kitchen, and a private pool with a gorgeous view of a lake right behind it. We spent quite a bit of time sunbathing, swimming, and enjoying having it all to ourselves!
I also squeezed in a couple good runs while I was there. I ran through and around the neighborhood and found some pretty gorgeous spots along the way.
We visited Hollywood Studios at Disney, where we rode the best rides and saw a lot of Star Wars stuff.
Then the skies opened up and rain just dumped all over us, destroying my iphone and ending our day a little early.
We visited my grandma, who’s been living down in Florida for almost a couple years now. I loved spending some time with her and hearing her old stories. She took us all out for lunch and we chatted at the house for several hours.
Finally, my mom and I went out to Disney Springs for a belated Mother’s Day date at Wolfgang Puck.
And now it’s officially back to the real world! I’m ready to get back into a regular workout schedule and get back on the meal prep train. I think I’ve had enough french fries to last me a while. Plus it’s been weeks since I went to a hot yoga or barre class, so I’m ready to get back to it!
What was the highlight of your weekend?
Do you still take family vacations?
