Oh man, it feels great to be home! I had a great time in Orlando with my family (I’ll share pics once I have the chance to go through them), but I missed Riley and my fur babies, especially my little clinger, Coco.
She basically latched on alllll day and wouldn’t leave me alone.
I ended up getting home super late Monday night, so I called out of work yesterday so I could catch up on sleep and get my life back together. I managed to document my meals at home, so I’m linking up with Jenn for What I Ate Wednesday!
Riley and I slept in super late, so I didn’t eat until almost 11:00. I was incredibly lazy and it felt amazing. Riley made scrambled eggs, home fries, and bacon, which is pretty much his standard brunch menu.
I also made some coffee and tossed in a teaspoon of a new product sent to me by Java Elixirs. The folks over at Java Elixir recently sent me samples of their coffee products, which I’m super excited to try out. They make all natural elixirs that you add to your coffee and give you benefits like detox, focus, and immunity. I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to give them the old trial run!
I wasn’t hungry for lunch since breakfast was so late, but I did grab a handful of salt and vinegar almonds mid-afternoon.
Dinner last night was courtesy of Riley. He turned leftovers into a delicious soup of turkey sausage, rice, jalapenos, diced tomatoes, onion, red bell pepper, chicken stock, and a bunch of spices. He made some cheesy toast to go with it and it all hit the spot!
I had a few Ritz crackers as well.
Plus a glass of wine to wash it all down.
It was a super relaxing and much-needed day at home before heading back to work this morning. I didn’t exactly load up on veggies yesterday, but you know I always show you the real deal, so there you have it!
What’s the best thing you ate yesterday?
Do you prefer flavored almonds or plain? I’ll eat most any kind of almond except plain + unsalted. I know that’s the healthiest, but unsalted almonds are boring almonds.
