It’s been a while since I did a day-in-the-life style post. I always love it when other bloggers do this. We’re a nosy bunch, aren’t we? Anyway, since it’s What I Ate Wednesday over here, I figured I’d tie it all together in one pretty package. I’ll be taking you through my day yesterday, so enjoy!
4:30 AM- Wake up 20 minutes before my alarm. Seriously?? Pretend like I’ll fall back asleep, but lay in bed thinking about bills instead.
5:10 AM- Get up, throw on workout clothes, and head over to the studio for a barre class.
6:30 AM- Drive home from barre and walk in to hear the coffee pot brewing. Thank goodness for automatic coffee pots! I shower, dress, and head into the kitchen to cook breakfast.
7:10 AM- Scramble up some eggs with cheese, make PB toast, and unwrap 1/2 grapefruit. I prepped the grapefruit the night before to save time. Apparently, grapefruit is now back on the menu after taking a month off. I read my daily work numbers and The Skimm on my phone while I eat.
7:20 AM- Throw lunch in my work bag, refill my coffee and hit the road. It’s gross, rainy, and traffic sucks. Luckily, the radio is re-capping their “catch the cheating spouse via the fake flower delivery service” segment, so that keeps me entertained.
8:00 AM- Get to work. Read applications, make decisions, make more decisions, pore over scholarship numbers, and answer emails.
10:00 AM- refill water bottle for the third time. I’m nailing this hydration thing.
12:00 PM- Lunch time! Heat up leftover orange chicken and veggie fried rice.
Watch the Bachelor on my computer while I eat….
Then pop over to my trusty couch for a 20 minute power nap.
1:00 PM- Back to work….
4:15 PM- Start calling our top scholarship recipients to inform and congratulate them. No one is picking up their phone and it’s ruining all my fun….
4:45 PM- Sneak out of work early so I can get home for a date night with Riley.
5:30 PM- Change and pour myself a glass of wine while Riley and I catch up on our days.
6:00 PM- Head out to dinner. We stop in at Paul’s Deli, where I order a gin and tonic and a spinach salad with mushrooms, onion, feta cheese, and bacon.
I get through about half the salad before we realize the movie started in 3 minutes. After rushing out, we get to the movie theater just in time to see see Deadpool, which is awesome and funny.
9:30 PM- Wash face, change, and crawl into bed….. G’night!
What’s the best thing you ate yesterday?
Seen any good movies lately?
Who will Ben pick on the Bachelor? My money’s on Lauren B. He just gets that dopey “love” look on his face whenever he’s around her.
