Hey there! Sorry I missed you all yesterday. I just wasn’t feeling the technology thing this weekend so I didn’t touch my laptop the whole time.
Saturday, I worked, then took care of the grocery shopping and deep-cleaned the house. When I’ve been on a long work streak, nothing makes me feel better than a spotless house. I literally can’t relax until it’s done. Call it OCD or whatever, but I’ve always been that way.
By the time I finished, it was the perfect time to break open a new bottle of wine and relax with Riley. I got this one from Trader Joe’s and it’s my new favorite white. It’s dry and not sweet at all and only $6.99.
After a couple glasses of wine, we decided to head out to Oceans & Ale and see what band was playing.
The whole restaurant/bar was packed and we stayed for a couple hours enjoying the band, which was pretty good. By the time we got home I was wiped out!
Sunday morning, Riley made us a big breakfast before heading over to his friend’s house to watch football. While I ate, I got stared down by miss Bella and her “serious” face.
It took me a minute to realize that actual, literal drool was falling from her mouth onto the floor. Get it together, Bella, you’re embarrassing yourself.
Once Riley left I had big plans to do stuff all day, but it all went slowly down hill. What was meant to be a quick nap turned into 4 hours of laying in bed.
What was meant to be a healthy lunch turned into eating potato chips on the couch, watching Lifetime movies.
What was meant to be reading a quality book turned into getting BACK into bed and watching Captain try to attack everything that moved (or didn’t move. He doesn’t discriminate, the little psycho).
Laziest day ever. I didn’t even mind, though, cause I think I needed a day to just do nothing. I started out my Monday with an early morning gym session and a healthy breakfast, so I’m feeling like myself again.
I’ll catch you all tomorrow for What I Ate Wednesday, but have a good one!
What were you up to this weekend?
Do you stress clean?
