Hey friends! I didn’t mean to disappear on you for so long, but I just really needed to unplug a bit and enjoy Christmas break without staring at a computer screen. I’m officially back to work today and it feels bittersweet. I could definitely have used another week off, but I also know it’s probably good for me to have some sort of purpose to my days again. I get so much more done- work and personal- when I’m in the office, so I’m looking forward to feeling productive.
I took a bunch of pictures over the break so here are some of the highlights. It’s a bit of a photo dump, but I figure you don’t want to be here all day reading descriptions. It’s been an awesome couple weeks and I’ve spent a lot of time with friends and family, so here’s a bit what I’ve been up to!
Annual girl’s night with my childhood girlfriends
Christmas party at a friend’s house
Walks in Colonial Williamsburg to see the lights and decorations
We started with a quiet morning at home, gave the pets their presents, opened presents to each other, then went to Riley’s dad’s house. After a few hours over there, we drove up to Richmond to spend the afternoon with my side of the family.
Day trip to Arlington
I drove up to see my friend Megan and meet her new little guy, Charlie. He was so sweet!
New Year’s Eve
And just like that it’s a new year! I went up to Richmond yesterday to celebrate my mom’s birthday, but I didn’t remember to take good pictures. We did spent the afternoon eating pizza and playing board games, which was a lot of fun.
I’ll be back soon with some of my thoughts on new year’s resolutions (not like I stick to any of them), but for now I just wanted to say welcome to 2018 and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for this year!
What was the highlight of your holiday season?
