Good morning! I’m still in the process of figuring out this whole self-hosting deal, but I wanted to fill you in on my low-key weekend.
Here’s a little bit about what I was up to!
Running in Colonial Williamsburg
I went for a 4 mile run Saturday and picked up some eggs and beef at the weekly farmer’s market. The best part about running in Williamsburg is trying to figure out which barrels are the secret water fountains!
Dog-sitting on Sunday
My co-worker and carpool buddy, Kim, was having her engagement photos done on Sunday. She asked if I’d help take care of their bulldog, Oakley, since they wanted him in some of their shots. I happily volunteered to help take care of the little guy.
Turns out, seeing a bulldog is like seeing a unicorn for some people. We couldn’t make it two minutes without someone freaking out and asking to pet the dog. Oakley loved all the attention!
Lazy Memorial Day at home
After an awesome hot yoga class yesterday morning, I came home and made myself a cold smoothie with banana, peanut butter, and dark chocolate almond milk.
My wireless router was broken for most of yesterday, which I took as a sign that I needed to avoid blog stuff for a while. After yoga, I laid out on the back deck with some magazines and tried to enjoy being outside and away from the computer.
For dinner, Riley grilled out some hamburgers. I made some salads to go with it and some homemade sweet potato fries. It was so delicious!
And that’s about it! I’m going back into the work week very well rested and ready to start the summer season.
Catch up with you later!
What were you up to this weekend?
