Happy Monday! I hope you all had wonderful weekends. I’ll be counting down the days this week because Christmas break is almost here! Eeeee, I’m so excited! I’m super pumped for two weeks off from work to enjoy the holidays and unwind. This week is going to take for. ev. er.
This past weekend was great because I got to spend it with family. After a great hot yoga class Saturday and some errands, I made my way down to Chesapeake, VA, to my aunt’s house. My mom also came down with my niece, so it was great to see lots of family at once.
Before the party, we hung out at my aunt and uncle’s house for a few hours, sipping lattes and catching up before dinner.
Before heading to the party, my aunt made us some filet mignon with a Caesar salad on the side. It definitely hit the spot! I rarely get to see my aunt and uncle so I loved catching up with them. We share a love of working out, wine, and travel, so there was plenty to talk about.
After dinner, my mom, niece, aunt, and uncle piled into the car and headed over to my cousin Mallory’s house. It was such a cute house and they had it decorated so well for the holidays. Between my aunt and my cousin, I’ve been feeling very inferior in the Christmas decoration department.
We spent a couple hours at the party and had a blast. I loved getting some snuggle time with Annabelle, seeing my cousin Mallory, and also my cousin Jeff, who came with their brand-new baby, Sophia.
Little baby Sophia was the CUTEST. My mom got all hopeful looking while I held the baby, so I gave her back pretty quickly. Don’t get any ideas, Mom!
I made the trek back home to Williamsburg that night so that I could wake up in my own bed and spend the day with Riley. I was feeling suuuper tired yesterday, so instead of Christmas shopping and errands we spent most of the day lounging around the house. I took a two hour nap and basically lived like a sloth. It was awesome and apparently I really needed it.
Now I’m off to the gym for some cardio and probably an upper body workout, then off to work for the day. Have a great Monday!
