Welcome to Kelly Runs for Food!
I’m Kelly (obviously) and I’m a 31 year old living in Williamsburg, VA with my husband Riley, our two cats, and our dog. Glad you stopped by! I started this blog in 2013 because I wanted to share my love of health and fitness with others. I also wanted to talk about how I balance a full-time job, fitness, and healthy eating while still allowing room for indulgences. I love healthy food, but I also love wine and pizza. You know that saying, “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels”? Well, they’ve clearly never tried my husband’s homemade pizza.
Fitness is my life-saver. I love working up a good sweat! I usually work out 4-5 days a week and I love to run, but I prefer short distances. My attention span when running is questionable at best, so I don’t really see a marathon ever happening. I used to track my pace and distance when running, but I stopped doing that a while ago. When I’m not running, you can usually find me at the hot yoga studio or doing a circuit workout at my gym.
I’ve lived in Williamsburg since I graduated from college in 2007 and I love living here. I currently work in the Office of Admission at my alma mater and I love it. My job keeps me really busy, but in the best possible way.
When I’m not working I can usually be found with Riley, my husband of almost 6 years. We got married in Mexico and it was the best decision we’ve ever made. If you’re thinking of getting married, I highly recommend a destination wedding!
We live with our cat, Coco, and our sweet dog, Bella. We are THOSE pet parents. You know, the ones who wrap x-mas presents “from Santa” for their pets. Yeah….
We also welcomed a new little one into our family in August, 2014. Meet Captain! He’s since grown into a 20 lb. giant, but I still try to cuddle him like he’s a kitten.
Riley and I love to travel together and have been to some pretty awesome places. You can check out my travel page for more. My other obsessions include coffee, Netflix marathons, the Washington Redskins, red wine, and reading, to name a few.
And that’s me in a nutshell! Hope you stay for a little while and poke around. Check out the links up top for more info on my workouts, recipes, travel, Williamsburg, and how to get in touch with me.
Thanks for stopping by!
