Have you guys listened to Taylor Swift’s new album? I checked it out a little while ago on Spotify and this song has made it’s way onto my workout playlist. It’s pretty catchy and it’s probably my favorite one on the album.
Speaking of working out, it’s been a great week in that department! I’ve rediscovered the rowing machine, which I hadn’t used since I was going to OrangeTheory last year. It’s killer and a great addition to my workouts. I’ve also been loving the kettlebells. I’d been in a bit of a rut where I was pretty much just running and maybe spending 5-10 minutes on another body part, so it’s been nice to switch things up.
Yesterday, my mentee in the office brought me the best Christmas present ever- Wint O Green Lifesavers!!
By mid-afternoon I had to relocate the bag to keep them out of arm’s reach. We also went to lunch and split the black bean burger and hummus sandwiches. Both were really good. If you’re in Newport News, check out Byrd’s Restaurant.
It’s been a fun-filled week that should be even more fun today. Tomorrow, though? Tomorrow’s gonna suck haha. I’m certain my entire office hates me for this, but I decided we should do a full Saturday of last-minute student interviews before the holiday break. Soooo, with all hands on deck, we’re going to attempt to personally interview about 100 students tomorrow. Ahhh! I’m bringing my juicer in the morning, though, so we’re at least going to be hydrated and full of vitamins, right? Wish me luck….
