It’s December 1st! The countdown to Christmas is officially on. Who wants to mail me this wine advent calendar?
This week flew by for me! Even though things are busy at work, it hasn’t stopped me from getting into the holiday spirit. I decorated my office this week.
This week has also been a good one on the workout front. I’ve been hitting the gym early and two days I’ve actually woken up before my alarm went off. Running and kettlebells have been my favorite thing lately.
In other news, Riley’s work Christmas party was last night. He never gets excited about things like this, but who doesn’t get excited for free food? I always get excited for an excuse to dress cute and show up for free dinner. He also won a certificate for a free massage or facial. so major win for me!
I can’t wait to have some pampering time this holiday season!
We didn’t stay super long, but it was still fun to meet some of his co-workers and have some good food and drinks.
I’ve kind of stopped doing the Friday “favorites” thing so that I can share more of what I’ve been up to and more general thoughts, but I do have a shoutout this week. I need to tell you guys about our new rug from Ruggable!
I’m convinced anyone with pets or kids needs one of these! I found a great deal on Kohls a couple weeks ago and got mine for only about $110, which I think is a great deal for a 5×7 rug you can literally throw in the wash. Right now, I think it’s even cheaper, plus if you have Ebates, they currently have 6% cash-back at Kohls, so you could save even more.
The rug attaches to a rubber pad underneath for cushioning and so the rug stays put. Whenever there’s a spill or accident (don’t even ask me about Bella’s poo-pocolypse of 2017), the top part just peels off and gets thrown in the wash!
Now it’s time to get this weekend started! Well, gotta get through the work day first, but after that it’s party time! This weekend should be a fun one. I may go see the Williamsburg Christmas parade tomorrow morning and Grand Illumination is on Sunday. Every year, Williamsburg does a huge celebration the first weekend in December and there are fireworks, cocoa, caroling, and all kinds of fun stuff.
Have a great weekend!
