Hey friends! Sorry I missed you on Friday. If you read Wednesday’s post you know last week was a bit of a downer for me, so coming up with a list of “favorites” was more of a challenge than I thought it would be. I decided to spend my time loving on Bella, house hunting, and relaxing instead.
Winter came back this weekend! Friday afternoon before going to look at houses, there was a random 15 minute snow shower that came through and I was not happy about it. We had the fireplace on all weekend, though, which was nice. I will say, though, it didn’t really inspire me to get out of the house and be productive. I didn’t even go to Target. Who am I?
Anyway, let’s chat about what I did do this weekend. Friday evening was date night and we checked out a new-to-us place called La Tienda.
We will definitely be back! Their menu was fantastic. The place was super packed (obviously the rest of the town knew how great it was), so we had to wait about 15 minutes for spots at the bar, but we finally got seated and ordered some wine.
They had a ton of amazing small plates and we stuffed our faces. Everything from the blue cheese fried croquettes to the pork sliders was delicious.
I can’t believe I’ve lived in Williamsburg for 10 years and I’ve never been there! It’s officially on our list of favorites and next time we’ll need to catch happy hour (1/2 price all wine).
Saturday morning started out with coffee by the fire.
Other than some cleaning and grocery shopping, I didn’t really do much on Saturday. The cats convinced me that lounging on the couch and reading was the best idea and they were right.
Sunday was even more unproductive. I made a breakfast casserole, which turned out really well.
Then I literally went back to bed for two hours. Whoops! By 3 PM I hadn’t even broken 1,000 steps, so I did a little at-home workout while watching Elementary on Hulu. The rest of the evening was spent watching TV. Riley had to work super late, so I didn’t even see him until right before I turned my lights out for the night.
Maybe last week was more draining than I thought because I didn’t even feel a little bit guilty for being so lazy! Sometimes you just need to park it on the couch for a couple days and that’s exactly what I did.
This week promises to be another busy one, so I’m ready to get back to it. Have a great Monday!
How was your weekend? Productive, fun, or lazy?
