Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Did you guys watch the Super Bowl? I’m actually typing this post up while watching the game, so I don’t know yet who wins. Not that I really care that much. The guy at the grocery store checkout asked me who I was rooting for and I said “Lady Gaga,” so there’s that.
Before we get started, I have to wish my sister a huge Happy Birthday!
Wish I could be there to celebrate with you, but there’s that whole work thing….
Also, another birthday shout-out to Megan. We’ve been best friends for almost 14 years, so here’s to another 14!
My weekend was pretty fantastic. Other than some grocery shopping, all I did was fun stuff. Saturday kicked off with errands, but then my cousin Mallory said she wanted to go to the outlets, so we spent the afternoon together. I bought a couple cute things and we caught up over drinks.
Riley and I went out for Mexican Saturday night, but I didn’t take any pictures.
Sunday started out with an early barre class with my friend Tara. After barre, we hit up Baker’s Crust for some brunch. I had a Mediterranean omelet with toast and home fries.
We kept our Sunday going with mani/pedis, courtesy of an awesome Groupon deal ($14!). They gave us each a free mimosa while we got our toes done, which made it even better. I wonder how much those massage chairs cost, because I could definitely use one at my house.
The lady who did my nails didn’t do the best job, but I was able to clean it up at bit at home, so for the price I’m not sorry I went!
After a hot shower and a nap, I got to work making our Super Bowl food. You’d think we had a party, but it was just me and Riley! Still, you gotta make football food, so I made some pimiento cheese cups after getting the idea from my co-worker.
It was just pimiento cheese spooned into mini phyllo cups and baked at 350 for 15-20 minutes. I also made cheeseburger sliders following this Tasty video.
They were both perfect for football watching! Riley made some pigs in a blanket, but I only had one of them.
And now it’s back to the real world. I’ve got two 6-day weeks back-to-back, but I’ll be super busy so I figure things will fly by.
Weekly Workout Plan
Since I’ll have so much to do, I want to try and plan out my workouts ahead of time this week. Here’s what’s on my agenda:
- Monday- No More Boredom treadmill workout. Unless I stay up too late watching the game, in which case….we’ll see
- Tuesday- Hot yoga
- Wednesday- 3-4 mile run and kettlebells
- Thursday- rest
- Friday- 30 minute run and legs at the gym
- Saturday- rest
- Sunday- Barre class
Have a great Monday!
