It’s beginning to look a lot like…….WAIT, NO! One more day! I can make it one more day. I have a strict rule that there are to be no Christmas decorations or songs until after Thanksgiving. Except….
I have to confess, I decorated my office yesterday. Which doesn’t count. Not really.
It’s just…..I came across some old decorations in a supply closet and couldn’t help myself to a couple little things.
I even added a little stocking next to my door.
You know, for love notes and treats. No one has put any in there yet. Weird.
Anyway, as far as the rest of my life is concerned, Christmas celebrations will have to wait until Friday to start. Or at least until after Santa makes his appearance at the Macy’s parade tomorrow.
Yesterday was our last day of work before Thanksgiving break. Yes, you heard that, I’m off work until Monday and it feels awesome! I celebrated by eating nearly all my meals from Panera. Let’s take a look at what I was eating yesterday for What I Ate Wednesday!
I ordered a bunch of bagels from Panera and got some other stuff to bring into the office. With it being the last day before break it just felt like we needed to celebrate! The food was a huge hit and I had a pumpkin pie bagel with cream cheese, grapes, and 3 cups of coffee.
I do not normally drink 3 cups of coffee in one morning, but I’d brought freshly ground coffee from home, which is just too good not to drink.
When I placed my bagel order, I realized I had a free You Pick Two reward, so obviously I had to use it. I was gnawing on my last chunk of French baguette at my desk before realizing I hadn’t taken a picture, sooooooo…….
If you’re the kind of person who needs a visual, it looked something like this:
Except with bread instead of the apple. And French onion soup instead of the salad, but the Mediterranean vegetable sandwich was the same.
Riley and I went to the movies for dinner at Movie Tavern, which serves your food while you’re seated in the theater. It’s pretty cool because you can reserve your seats ahead of time and push a button to order extra stuff (drinks) throughout the movie.
Again, I failed to take pictures…..<sigh> Welcome to “What I Ate For Breakfast Wednesday” I guess. We shared an order of fried pickles and I had these tasty chicken sliders with fries for dinner. It was basically pitch black inside the theater, otherwise I would’ve taken a picture. We had a few drinks during the show as well. Sorry, I’m failing at that whole “document a day of meals” thing. I’ll do better next week.
Even though yesterday’s food was good, tomorrow’s will be even better! I don’t get super excited about turkey on Thanksgiving, but I DO love all the side dishes. We’re heading up to see Riley’s family tomorrow and I plan on stuffing my face.
If you’re looking to squeeze in a workout before the Big Feast, here’s one of my favorites:
No equipment needed and you can do it while you watch the parade. Happy Thanksgiving!
American friends, what are your Thanksgiving plans?
Do you work out on Thanksgiving?
When do you decorate for the holidays?
What’s the best thing you ate yesterday?
