This week went by so quickly! Hope you all have had a fun and productive week so far and now it’s time to celebrate the weekend!
I’ve had a lot to be happy about this week, so I’m linking up with Heather to share my favorites from the past few days.
So You Think You Can Dance
My favorite summer show is on and this year they’re featuring the best kid dancers. So far I’m in love with all of them, especially the little tiny JT, who’s just the cutest thing ever.
Another day at the winery
They currently have an awesome deal that included a tour of the winery…
A tasting of 8 different wines….
Then lunch at their on-site restaurant, complete with a glass of wine and a cookie.
All for $35! It was a really good deal, so I highly recommend my local readers go check it out. The only catch is you have to buy the package on their website.
Pizza and beer
Is there a better combo in the world than pizza and beer? Well, yes, technically it’s pizza and red wine, but I embraced the brew the other night when Riley and I had dinner at Craft 31 in Williamsburg.
Their thin crust pizzas are the bomb and I enjoyed a couple slices of one with spinach, ricotta, sausage, and onions. So good!
The return of beach time
I went two weeks without going to the beach! This goes completely against the goals I made for myself for the summer.
Luckily, this was remedied yesterday. I had to leave work early for a dentist appointment, so afterward Riley and I spent several hours lounging on the beach. There was no one else there except the occasional person with a dog.
That particular beach has a nice grassy area with trees, so when I got too hot in the sun I could just re-locate to the shade.
Like every form of social media, I’m usually at least two years behind. I downloaded Snapchat the other day and have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. You’re welcome to add me (username kelly.scallion), but mostly I’m looking for advice on how the heck I’m supposed to use the thing! So far, I’ve managed to post one photo and play around with the little selfie options that make my chin really big.
And on that note, it’s time to get this weekend started. As of right now, I have zero plans, which will probably be pretty nice after a couple of busy weekends.
See y’all on Monday!
