Hey friends, Happy Monday! How was everyone’s weekend? Was it filled with sunshine and 70 degree weather? Well, mine was. I worked an event Saturday morning and when I walked out, it felt just like spring. I drove home with the windows down and it was amazing! It’s giving me hope that we only have a few weeks left of winter.
I spent the rest of Saturday enjoying the weather, going to hot yoga, then out for a couple drinks with some girlfriends. I didn’t take a single picture, but it was nice to just be in the moment without documenting everything.
Despite a slightly later night for me Saturday, I was still awake by 7:00 on Sunday, determined to make the most of my only day off. I started by taking Bella for a long walk, which she loved, despite her facial expression in this picture. She does not appreciate taking selfies with me.
Then I vegged out on the back deck with my coffee and kindle. The pets all joined me and we basked in the sun for what felt like the first time in ages. I’m pretty sure my pasty skin hadn’t seen the sun since December.
Around lunch time, my friend Mary arrived and we headed out for brunch. We ended up at Center Street Grill, where we ordered mimosas and dug into our meals.
I had an egg white omelet with home fries, which was delicious.
After brunch, we had planned to see a movie, but we missed the start of just about all of them so we headed back to my place and talked for hours instead.
I packed a lot of fun into my short weekend, but sadly, it’s now over and it took the warm weather with it. It’s officially 20 degrees colder than yesterday, but at least for a little while I got to enjoy a taste of spring.

- Saturday- hot yoga
