What day is it, Monday? Already? <sigh> Ok, I’m ready….
The weekend went by in a blur, thanks to a super long day Friday and an event at work on Saturday. Friday morning started with a hot yoga flow class, which set a good tone for the day.
Once I was at work, I hit the ground running and basically never stopped. We had an event for those competing for our top scholarship. Since I oversee the scholarship selection process, I was pretty busy greeting the students, answering questions, and helping our event coordinator make sure things went smoothly.
During this time, I learned that my co-worker (also named Kelly) and I are basically the same person. Our coffee cups and water bottles became best friends while we talked about our love of hot yoga and cats.
I’m also super jealous of her 40 oz, no-sweat, indestructible water bottle. Gimme it!
Saturday was more of the same. Scholarship event, smiling, shaking hands, leading panels on stage, and smiling some more. I got some grocery shopping and cleaning done afterwards, then basically crashed for the night.
Sunday morning, Riley was home and made me a delicious egg white + veggie omelet for brunch. Much as I love the home fries, biscuits, and bacon, I’ve been trying to keep things on the healthier side. Luckily, Riley can cook everything, including my “salad eggs,” as he calls them.
Later, we embraced the spring-like temperatures and took Bella for a long walk together. It felt amazing to get outside and soak in the sun!
Finally, I treated myself to a mini spa night at home to get myself mentally ready for the week ahead. Bubble bath, candles, face mask, the works. I didn’t have a ton of time off, but I at least made the most of it!
Weekly Workout Plan
Here’s what’s on the tentative agenda for the week. I’m keeping things pretty low-key since I know it will be a stressful week. Hot yoga is a perfect solution because I get in a pretty good workout, but I get to start and finish the workout laying down, so it’s a win-win.
- Monday- Hot yoga
- Tuesday- Barre
- Wednesday- Run + Kettlebell circuit (swings, squats, figure 8s, etc.)
- Thursday- Off
- Friday- Hot yoga
- Saturday- Off
- Sunday- Barre
