Monday came waaay too fast this time around. I had an event at work on Saturday that kept me for most of the day, so the rest of the weekend was low-key.
After a couple of randomly warm days, a cold front came through Sunday morning that made everything chilly again. After running some errands, I decided to make the most of the fall weather and took Bella out for a long walk. She hates the heat and the poor thing pants so much when it’s warm out, so I try to take advantage of the cold and get her outside.
She was pumped to get out of the house and run around. My new boots also got delivered on Saturday, so I broke them in while I was at it.
I also made sure to give the cats some love. Coco was basically attached to me the whole weekend, per usual.
I got super domestic in the kitchen too. I grabbed a bunch of ingredients to make some no-bake energy balls, which turned out great.
I also cooked up a turkey, which I’d never done before. The folks over at Jennie O sent me one of their oven-ready turkeys and I was pumped to see that there was no thawing, brining, or laboring in general involved. It’s like they know my life.
I was hoping to hold onto it until Thanksgiving, but it basically took over our whole freezer, so I needed to cook it up. I’ll let you know how it turned out later, but to give you a hint I’ve already told my mother she needs to buy the turkey that “cooks in a magic bag!”
Weekly Workout Plan
I didn’t exactly slack off last week in the workout department, but my workouts were mostly low-key. I didn’t get in a a run and I think I’m feeling the itch this week. Here’s what’s on the agenda:
- Monday- 30 minute run + 10 minute head-to-toe circuit
- Tuesday- Hot yoga II class
- Wednesday- No more treadmill boredom workout + ab work with medicine ball
- Thursday- Rest
- Friday- Hot vinyasa yoga class
- Saturday- Run outside
- Sunday- Rest
The twice-weekly hot yoga has been a life saver these days! I’m loving how chill I am on yoga days, but I can also feel myself getting stronger. I totally underestimate how much of a workout yoga can be, especially if it’s the vinyasa style.
