Ahh, weekends are the best, aren’t they? I had a great time in Williamsburg this weekend, getting things done, but also just enjoying the beautiful fall weather and relaxing. Today starts a 13 day work streak, so I made a point not to work too hard and to just kick back a bit.
Every spare minute I had was spent sitting outside on the back deck, walking with Bella, running, or opening all the windows. It was so perfect- crisp and cool both days and perfect for leaving the back door open, which the cats loved.
I had a great run in Colonial Williamsburg Sunday morning. The weather was perfect for running, but it was also super busy due to Columbus Day weekend. They had a bunch of reenactments going on and there were tourists everywhere.
Later on Sunday, I baked some apple cinnamon bread. I bought a huge bag of honeycrisp apples at TJs and decided to make something yummy with them. The bread turned out great! I adapted this recipe, swapping a few of the ingredients.
Aside from that, it was naps, reading, cooking, and just generally recharging the batteries. The next two weeks will be a bit crazy with work, so here goes nothing!
Weekly Workout Plan
Knowing how busy things will be, I decided to write out a tentative workout plan for the week in the hopes that pre-planning will just give me one less thing to think about.
- Monday- Rest day
- Tuesday- Hot yoga
- Wednesday- Elliptical + kettlebell circuit
- Thursday- Treadmill run + ab workout
- Friday- Hot yoga
- Saturday- Rest day
- Sunday- Outdoor run
For those of you enjoying a three day weekend right now, hope you have a great Columbus Day. We’ll be welcoming a couple hundred guests to campus since all the kids are out of school. Wish me luck!
What were you up to this weekend?
You HAVE to pick a fall favorite: apples or pumpkin? Go.
What workout are you most looking forward to this week? I’m most excited about hot yoga. Now that the new schedule includes two 5:30 AM classes, I feel like I’ll be a lot more consistent in making it to class.
