This has seriously been the month of vacations! First up was our St. Thomas trip (catch up on parts one, two, and three!), then I headed to Orlando, FL with my parents, sister, and niece for 6 days. I feel like I’ve been bombarding you guys with vacation pictures lately, so I’m keeping my recap to one post, but I did want to share some of my favorite photos with you.
The first day we were all in town, we made the drive out to visit my grandma in her new place. As some of you may know, my grandma moved to Florida in September and I hadn’t seen her since. It was so great to have everyone together and spend some time visiting. We all went out to lunch, then had some time to chat at her house afterwards.
The next day was Disney day!! Annabelle got all dressed up in her light-up Frozen dress (it sang “let it go” which was super cute) and my sister and I headed out to Magic Kingdom with her for the day.
We waited for <brace yourselves> 90 minutes to meet Elsa and Anna from Frozen. We were told by the lady out front to “just get it over with” so we hopped in line and hoped for the best. Anna made friends with another little girl in line and their adorable antics made the time fly by. Finally, we made it into the Princess greeting room to meet the stars themselves!
Totally worth it to see Annabelle’s excitement at meeting two of her favorite characters!
After a busy day at Disney, we had a chill pool day before heading out as a family to Downtown Disney for dinner together.
I had the baja fish tacos at Paradiso 37 and they were delicious!
Sunday was another park day and somehow we managed to fit both Universal parks into one day! My dad stayed back at the hotel, so all the girls headed out to get the day started. The highlight of the parks for me was checking out all the Harry Potter stuff. Yep, big nerd over here. Riley did tell me I wasn’t allowed to buy a wand (party pooper), so I contained myself for the most part. It was crazy crowded in those sections and I wish I’d had more time to explore, but we covered most of the important stuff!
The lines for the rides were long, but it was worth it to visit Hogwarts, Gringotts Bank, and other awesome spots. I highly recommend visiting if you’re a Harry Potter fan!
Monday we made the trek back home where I was reunited with Riley and my fur babies. It was great to spend time with my family, who I don’t get to see very often. Cheers to another great trip!
