How is it Monday already?! I’m trying really hard not to pout, but the weekend was just way too short for me. Saturday was spent at work all day. We welcomed about 1,000 people to campus for Admitted Freshman Day. It was crazy busy and after standing/walking around campus for 7 hours my feet felt like they were going to fall off. The day was a huge success, though, and the weather was perfect!
After a shower, a nap, and a trip to Trader Joe’s, Riley and I commenced pizza and wine night.
As usual, Chef Riley’s pizza was fantastic and I was in a food coma and heading to bed early before I knew it. Crazy Saturday night, I know!
Sunday morning was gorgeous and I wanted to take advantage of the nice weather before Riley headed off to play golf. We decided on an outdoor brunch and walk in Colonial Williamsburg. We headed to Aroma’s, where I ordered a veggie and egg scramble with toast. We ate outside on their patio and the food was perfect! My scramble had peppers, onions, and cheddar jack cheese.
After breakfast, we took a short walk through town and checked out the gardens. There were beautiful tulips everywhere!
The rest of my Sunday was spent cleaning the house and just hanging out. It was definitely too short, but that’s just the way it goes sometimes!
Today I’m headed into the office for a few hours, then up to Northern VA for a college panel this evening. Hopefully I’ll be able to impart some wisdom about applying to colleges to some high schoolers.
Have a great Monday!
