Hey everyone! I’m making this post short and sweet, but I haven’t participated in WIAW in a good long while, so I wanted to join the fun today. Thanks as always to Jenn for hosting this fun link-up!
For breakfast, I topped an English muffin with one egg, one egg white, and a thin slice of cheddar cheese. On the side I had a banana and a tall glass of lemon water.
That breakfast carried me all the way through the morning at work until it was time to break for lunch. I decided to go out with a co-worker so we could catch up and we went to my favorite spot- Panera!
I ordered some chicken noodle soup and half of the fontina grilled cheese sandwich, with an apple on the side.
I eat the grilled cheese sandwich there sparingly since it’s not exactly healthy for you, but I’m sick so I deserved it. Ha! I totally justified it in my mind and don’t even care. Grilled cheese and soup when you’re sick is perfection.
I saved the apple for later and had it at my desk as a mid-afternoon snack.
For dinner, Riley cooked up some orange chicken and vegetable rice from Trader Joe’s. It’s one of my favorite easy week-night dinners from them and comes together in about 20 minutes.
No post-dinner wine for me this time! I’m trying to get over this cold, so I’ve been trading in my wine for peppermint tea instead. And lots and lots of water, of course.
Not pictured: my two mugs of coffee in the morning. I got totally wrapped up in work first thing and forgot to snap a picture. But I’m pretty sure you know what a cup of coffee looks like.
I’m hoping to make it to the gym for a nice, easy workout this morning before work. I haven’t worked out since Saturday, so I’m super antsy, but I think I might be able to swing it today if my cough gets a little better. Well, that’s all I got for today, so I’ll see you guys tomorrow!
What’s the best thing you ate yesterday?
What’s your favorite kind of tea?
Do you work out when you’re sick? I usually take it easy until I start to feel better, or after a 3-day period when I start to convince myself that I’m better, whichever comes first!
