Friday Fitness

Happy Friday!!! I’m pumped that the weekend is almost here and I’m sure you all are too.

I have very few plans on tap for this weekend and I’m just excited to enjoy some cooler temperatures today and tomorrow!

Workout & Breakfast

This morning, I got up bright dark and early at 4:30 to hit the gym. I hopped on the treadmill for a 20 minute run to warm up and get the blood pumping. Afterwards, I grabbed a kettlebell and some dumbbells to do the following workout:

Weekend Kickoff Circuit Workout

The whole thing takes 20 minutes if you go through it without stopping. I used an interval timer app on my phone that added in 5 seconds between moves for transition and 20 seconds between each set, so it took closer to 25 minutes total.I got tired of doing side planks after a few sets and subbed in some bicycle crunches, kick-downs, and side crunches for the last couple sets.

5 minutes of stretching and I was done!

I got home and heated up a breakfast sandwich. I had a glass of dark chocolate almond milk to wash it down with.

It hit the spot! Now I’m off to work for the day. I’m hoping to take some walks around campus since it’ll be a little cooler today and less humid.

  1. Can’t wait to spend the weekend prepping for fall! And I told my bf we are making two batches of your breakfast sandwiches to set us up for next week, we can’t wait to try them. We both get up super early during the week, so quick easy breakfasts are a must!

  2. Your 430 wake up is so inspiring. I wish I had as much motivation as you to get out of bed that early.
    I think I should invest in a kettlebell for my home gym. I keep seeing great workouts everywhere that use them.

    I had no idea baby pandas were so pink when they’re first born! So cute. :)

  3. You’re a champ for the 4:30 AM wake up! The earliest I have ever done is 5 AM. It got easier though once I got into a routine. And, I’m definitely trying dark chocolate almond milk asap! How I didn’t know that existed is mind boggling. Happy friday!

  4. I wish I could wake up at 4:30 to workout…my body just rejects it even if I’ve got to be early enough. Go you!
